I Love to Read

Try the Kindle2 - Newest Reading Device -New Price

I love to read. My passion began in elementary school. At first I had trouble even learning to read. Those squiggly lines just didn't make sense to me. It was difficult to even try to understand what the teacher was talking about. She wanted us to follow along as she read. How could I follow, I didn't even know what she was talking about. It was as though my eyes would not focus, my eyes and my brain were not insync. Then one day something wonderful happened, suddenly everything snapped into place. It was like one minute these marks on the page made no sense, then bam, suddenly it all fell into place. Like someone threw a door open and I had access to what was on the other side.

Could I read now, could I follow the teacher on the page. YES, I could. I read the stuffing out of Dick and Jane, and that dog Spot. Then one day while in 3rd grade, I wanted something more to read. So I just started looking through our reader, and at the back of the book we were using, I found a more advanced story, a fairytale. Looked interesting, so I started reading. It was about a good and fair young girl who did a good deed and was rewarded when she went through a doorway. She was showered with gold coins. Her evil and ugly sisters were jealous and tried to go through the same doorway and were covered in tar. Can't remember the name of the story but I was transported. I had to get more, I found every reader I could get my hands on to see if they had more stories like that. Then I discovered the school library, I was in book heaven. I discovered Greek and Roman mythology, Shakespeare, Grimm's Fairy Tales, Robert Heinlein, and many many others. I now had other worlds to explore, other places to travel to, and adventures to share.

Now I'm older and I still love to read. I can't just have one book with me, I have to have several at a time. I love to have more than one book in the process of reading. Sometimes I'll have 2 or 3 books I'm reading at one time. My biggest problem is keeping up with them, and where I left off. I always forget to put the bookmarks in so I have to try from memory to remember where I left off in each book. Another problem is making sure I can find one of the books I was reading. You misplace, it falls down behind something or someone borrows it. If you're traveling it's a bit difficult to carry as many books as you would like, and still have enough room in your suitcase for your clothes. Or your bookbag could give a weightlifter a hernia. I developed some nice muscles as I was growing up carrying that oversize bookbag.

Now I can carry my books with alot less weight, no need to worry about someone borrowing my book without telling me, or me losing it behind the sofa. I can always have my books with me no matter where I go, to the doctor's office, a restaurant, the auto repair shop, waiting in line. I found the Kindle2. The Kindle2, is Amazon's newest reading device। I was intrigued। I'd seen the advertising for the Kindle, but I always like to wait until something has been around for a while, waiting for them to get the bugs out। Then I forgot about it. Then one day while I was surfing, I came across an ad for the Kindle2.

Light weight, easy to download books, most books cost $9.99 or less. Don't have to run to the bookstore, I can download directly to the Kindle2. Okay, this caught my eye and I decided to try it. If you share my love of reading and want to be able to take it on the road, or stop the muscle building, take a look at the Kindle2. It even has the voice reader so you can share the story with your friends or when you feel too tired to read. Another great feature of the Kindle2 is it will always remember where you left off reading, especially if you're like me and forget to put in the bookmark
